Extra peace of mind when ordering made-to-measure doors
One of the most common concerns customers have when ordering replacement kitchen or wardrobe doors is simple:
“What if I measure something wrong?”
At DIY Doors, we understand that measuring cabinet doors can feel a little daunting — even though the process is usually straightforward.
That’s why we offer Happy Care, an optional cover designed to give you extra reassurance when placing your order.
Why Add Happy Care?
When ordering made-to-measure doors, accuracy matters. Even small differences in measurements can affect how a door fits.
Happy Care provides an extra safety net if a measurement is slightly off.
If your door measurements are incorrect within a small tolerance, we will manufacture a replacement door free of charge.
What Does Happy Care Cover?
If Happy Care is added to your order, you are covered for measurement errors within the following tolerances:
- Up to 25mm on door dimensions
- Up to 10mm on hinge hole positions
For example:
If you ordered a 576mm wide door, but the correct size should have been 596mm, a replacement door would be provided under the cover.
Why Measurement Mistakes Happen
Even experienced DIY installers occasionally make small measuring errors.
Common examples include:
- Not allowing clearance for neighbouring cabinet doors
- Measuring cabinet units instead of the door itself
- Recording hinge hole positions incorrectly
- Typing the wrong measurement into the configurator
Happy Care helps remove the worry from the ordering process
Terms and Conditions Apply
If you have selected Happy Care on your order, the following conditions apply:
- Measurement errors are covered up to 25mm on door dimensions and 10mm on hinge hole positions.
- Where a measurement error occurs within these tolerances, a replacement door will be supplied free of charge.
- If a replacement door is required, we will arrange for the incorrectly sized door to be collected at our expense.
- When reporting a measurement error, you must email hello@diy-doors.co.uk with:
- A photograph of the cabinet unit
- A tape measure showing the correct width and height
- The required corrected measurements
- Replacement doors are free of charge. However, if the corrected size moves the product into a higher price bracket, the difference in cost will be payable.
- If the corrected size results in a lower price bracket, the difference will not be refunded.
- Happy Care is non-refundable once the order has been placed, even if it is not used.
- Replacement doors may take up to 21 working days from confirmation of the corrected measurements.
- While every effort will be made to meet delivery estimates, the Company will not be liable for delays or any associated costs arising from replacement production.
- Happy Care does not cover damage during delivery.
- Happy Care does not cover accidental damage to doors after delivery.
